Ingredients:
1 bottle of red wine (a fruity variety like Zinfandel or Merlot works well)
2 cups spiced apple cider (I love the Spiced Apple Cider from Trader Joe’s)
1 apple, thinly sliced
1 pear, thinly sliced
1 orange, thinly sliced
4-5 cinnamon sticks
1-2 tablespoons maple syrup (only if you prefer it more sweet)
Ice, for serving
Instructions:
- In a large pitcher, combine the white wine and the apple cider. Add the maple syrup, too, if you’re using it.
- Add the sliced fruits and the cinnamon sticks.
- Stir and refrigerate the sangria for at least 1-2 hours (or up to 24 hours) to allow the flavors to meld together.
- Serve over ice, and don’t forget to add fruits and a cinnamon stick to each glass.
