Berlin Christmas Germany

The best Christmas Markets to visit in Berlin this year

Christmas is very loved in Berlin, and so are the Christmas Markets. Most of them open at the end of November and go up to Christmas, in a wide variety of locations (city squares, old castles, woods, on rooftops), each offering something unique. There are more than 60 markets through the city, and it’s quite impossible to see everything. Here is a list I’ve made of the most beautiful Christmas Markets in Berlin in 2017, with opening times and location, for you, the Christmas seeker, to have the best Christmas experience in Berlin ever. Let your steps be guided by the twinkle lights and the gingerbread smell into a wintery fairytale world!

WeihnachtsZauber at the Gendarmenmarkt

27 November – 31 December 2017

The Christmas Market at the Gendarmenmarkt is one of the best Christmas markets in Berlin; some people even say it’s the most beautiful Christmas market here. What I especially like at WeinachtsZauber at the Gendarmenmarkt is its location – the market is framed by three amazing buildings, Französischer Dom, the Konzerthaus and the Deutscher Dom. Festive tents will welcome the traveler with Christmas Lights, Christmas decoration, jewelry, origami crafts, delicious foods, and drinks. There are also thematic shows every day.

Nordic delights, Icelandic mulled wine, Swedish Glögg, fire logs, a chain carousel and even a mobile sauna and an “open-air jacket heater” are waiting to be discovered.
